The first impression from CES this year is that Alexa is everywhere. Not only is there a large presence from Amazon, but you see Amazon Alexa logos popping up in booths.
What’s interesting is the variety of products that are integrating AVS/ASK. First is the number of speaker makers, the second is that almost every IoT company is looking at control of their device by voice through Echo or AVS-enabled hardware, the third is it coming up in new devices including headsets an robots.
A lot of these are just announcements with products not hitting the market until the fall.
However, it’s clear that Alexa is just completely in your face — including on cab advertisements. Google Home is just a faint whisper here now.
