Hedonic Adaptation for Technology

I still remember the angry email I had received from one Ubi customer. The customer was upset because his wife had asked the Ubi for Kevin Costner age but the Ubi responded with an answer that was off by a year. It really upset this backer.

Looking at the S8, I was upset that on the Bixby screen, the home button didn’t work. Boo hoo! However, this nuisance became a real thorn. If anything, the phone is a marvel but I found some imperfection to complain about.

How quickly the bar is raised in technology. There is no longer any perfection. We will find something. Maybe this is the edge humans have over machines?… The ability for our dissatisfaction to exceed that of technological development.
