Last month, iLuv announced that it would be producing speakers with Alexa Voice Service onboard. This month, they are shipping.
The Aud Click joins JAM and FABRIQ for AVS-enabled devices. Unlike Nucleus and Triby, it does not have a handsfree mode.
The value proposition of such a speaker over the Echo Tap is 1) it’s cheaper — $50 vs $130 for the Tap and 2) the speaker quality is “potentially” better (in quotes as I haven’t tested).
If the fairs at CES Asia in 2016 or the HK Electronics Fair are any indication, many more of these AVS-push-to-talk devices are going to be available on amazon.com in the coming months.
