Wake word is still sorely missing on Windows and Mac. It seems a bit silly that this feature isn’t enabled.
Several years ago, Google had enabled OK Google in Chrome but quietly discontinued it citing lack of use. Maybe it’s time to re-enable it as Google Assistant?
Likewise, Siri is just begging for a wake up word. If you already have to hover to the Siri icon or press the Siri button on a newer Mac, it defeats the purpose of voice.
It’s odd that Microsoft is actually the innovator in this area. However, Hey Cortana, unless setup at the onset of Windows, is buried in settings:
Having voice typing available within the browser seems straight forward and should be easy to implement. Why still nothing?
